Importing leads from CSV or Excel

Overview

Import historical or external lead lists with explicit field mapping and duplicate safeguards.

Prerequisites and access

Use an active account whose role and plan include this feature. Options not allowed by the role or plan are not displayed.

Steps

1. Open Leads → Import leads and upload a supported CSV or Excel file.
2. Map every source column to a native lead field, an existing custom field, or a new custom field.
3. Review the mapping, start the background import, and check the completion notification before using the imported data.

Expected result

The change is stored in the active workshop and becomes visible only to authorized users.

Edge cases

• Confirm the active workshop before changing data.
• Do not create duplicates when the record already exists.
• Features can be hidden when the plan, configuration, or permissions do not enable them.

Troubleshooting

Refresh the page, clear filters, verify role and plan access, then contact a superadmin with the time, workshop, and exact error message.
