Banning and restoring leads

Exclude abusive or invalid contacts while preserving an auditable history.

Overview

Exclude abusive or invalid contacts while preserving an auditable history.

Prerequisites and access

Use an active account whose role and plan include this feature. Options not allowed by the role or plan are not displayed.

Steps

  1. Open an accessible lead and choose Ban lead.
  2. Enter a specific reason and confirm; the lead disappears from the default active list but remains available through the banned filter.
  3. Use Unban lead only after reviewing the original reason and add context for the team.

Expected result

The change is stored in the active workshop and becomes visible only to authorized users.

Edge cases

  • Confirm the active workshop before changing data.
  • Do not create duplicates when the record already exists.
  • Features can be hidden when the plan, configuration, or permissions do not enable them.

Troubleshooting

Refresh the page, clear filters, verify role and plan access, then contact a superadmin with the time, workshop, and exact error message.
